image

In this post we share advice on how to keep your network of potential funders fresh, relevant and mutually beneficial. Be in the habit of mapping your connections into potential funders, investors or donors circles. Then start recruiting them. Start with the closest connections. Always.

Group 1

Look at your close circles

  • Previous beneficiaries
  • Previous funders (more likely to repeat their support)
  • People who are closely related to the cause you are raising awareness around

Group 2

Look at people loosely connected to you

  • Mailing lists, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and other social media,
  • Friends of friends, friends of staff.
  • Companies closely associated to your corporate donors

Group 3

Look at the rest of the world!

  • Specialist Expert funders
  • Family Offices
  • Foundations
  • Open Innovation networks
