Her goal is to empower people to make impact angel investments confidently and passionately. Bonnie is passionate about bridging the gap between investors and entrepreneurs, frequently translating the needs of both to move people closer together and form meaningful investment relationships. She is particularly focused on encouraging and supporting more women to make investment decisions that support the development of women and social entrepreneurs.
"My work in the finance and investment sectors spans fifteen years and three cities. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998 with Deloitte in Toronto and advised management teams and private equity investors as a corporate financier with Deloitte in London, UK. In 2002, I obtained my Chartered Financial Analyst designation and developed my career as an investment banker, structuring and financing multi-million Euro real estate transactions with Hypo Real Estate Bank and ABN AMRO Bank in London. In 2009 and 2010, I helped social entrepreneurs launch their businesses by advising on their business models and financing strategy and I worked with impact investors to move more capital to enterprises with a social mission through my own consulting firm. I relocated to Vancouver in 2011 and implemented a high impact lending and investing program for Vancity. In 2012, I started Pique Ventures, an investment advisory business based in Vancouver, Canada, that helps successful, values-driven women make investments in entrepreneurial ventures. "
