Right folks, this is how to create your own beehive in the Big Society. Here's a set of ideas to kickstart it!

Simple...

1) Use the Beesmap template and write down your vision in one sentence, including measurable elements (who, where, what, how many, etc...)

2) Call/contact 20 other people who share a similar vision, the same job title, or background as you, and start a lobbying group, a think-do tank, or a learning group... to bring yourself closer to your vision. Connect with them at least 3 times in the year with most of them.

3) Start an almost-self-sufficient micro-economy of experts, with identical values, fair-trade supply chains and work ethos, in order to get better clients/investors/supporters. Map this set of connections/relationships and pin the chart on your wall in order to have a clear idea of what it looks like!

4) Drop your workload for an hour, a day or a week, and go and shadow the boldest activists in your field of interest, in order to be inspired. Talk to the winners of the Ogunte Women Social Leadership Awards 2010. Consult the TED Fellows, for example.

5) Started a social trading space that suits all your needs...  (you can trade services and products, but also skills, thoughts, ideas, against a pound value, or time or the equivalent product.)

6) Most importantly: track your progress along the way, your achievements your learning, the obstacles met and how you have overcome them.

7) Finally, when the above is completed, organise an event, a video, or a dinner, and talk/teach/broadcast your experience to others.
