The In Wealth career transition support programme is aimed at professional women facing, or dealing with, redundancy and who wish to explore self-employment, as a means to manage this difficult transition. This programme is a combination of face-to-face sessions, teleconferences and action-learning, over a period of three to six months. It has been designed in conjunction with business development and human resource professionals, coaches and technology experts to create an innovative and women friendly outplacement support programme. Why In Wealth? The In Wealth programme builds the capacity of women to become self-employed in the ethical business sector. It enables women to be more confident and resilient. It helps them to be more creative in times of economic uncertainty, and gain in visibility as potential business owners. Finally, it supports women's wish to contribute to positive social change. The programme provides these women the opportunity to immerse themselves in social enterprises, meet successful mentors, and access the Global Tribal Network. We work closely with UnLtd, the foundation for Social Entrepreneurs, which provide financial support (grants) to innovative and entreprising ideas with a positive social impact. We also work in partnership with ethical recruitment companies, as well as various CDFI (Community Development Finance Institutions) that lend money to strong social ideas. Networking has been a major element that has helped my idea grow into a fully working organisation. Learning to believe in myself and my abilities and networking skills had a massive impact on the success of the project." http://www.identitiesnetwork.org.uk
