"I want to change the way that grooms are perceived and treated for ever so that they are respected and recognised for their unique skills and dedication to the animals in their care.
I am a former groom who realised that there was a need within our community for support and recognition of these forgotten heroes and heroines of the equestrian world. I set up the British Grooms Association which is a professional association that offers dedicated advice and guidance. We are tackling the social welfare issues that grooms face on a daily basis such as bullying, unfair dismissal, illegal wages and working conditions. We work with the equestrian employers to help them to modernise their working environment for their staff which has a direct impact on grooms."
